This trip places a large emphasis on the artistic history and culture of Santa Fe. Activities follow a moderate pace, and participants should be comfortable walking and standing for extended periods of time.

The Itinerary — 6 Days, 5 Nights
Day 1
Fly into Santa Fe Regional Airport where transportation to your hotel, The Inn and Spa at Loretto, will be waiting for you.
Upon arriving at the hotel, check-in to your room and take some time to get settled. Meet with your trip host and the rest of the group in the hotel lobby before venturing to the heart of downtown. Stop by the famous Loretto Chapel, stroll through the Santa Fe Plaza and enjoy the freedom to wander into any museum, boutique or shop that catches your eye.
Make your way over to the Gruet Winery Tasting Room for an afternoon wine tasting before enjoying a welcome dinner at Cafe Pasqual’s which specializes in at authentic Southwestern Mexican fare. Get acquainted with your group and take your time to ease into the laid-back Santa Fe atmosphere.

Day 2
Kick off your adventure in “the city different” with an immersive Art & Chocolate Tasting Tour. Rather than a structured lecture, this tour is designed to be a relaxed and interactive experience that allows for insight and discussion. Conclude the tour with a delightful chocolate elixr tasting at Kakawa Chocolate House as you discuss your favorite artistic elements and which ones resonate with you.
Afterward, pay a visit to the Santa Fe School for Advanced Research, an extensive collection of Native American art which includes pottery, jewelry, textiles, clothing, paintings, basketry, and drums. Take a private tour of the facility and gain a unique insight into one of the finest Native American art collections in the world.
In the afternoon, attend a Native American Cooking Class at the Santa Fe School of Cooking taught by Lois Ellen Frank, a James Beard award winning author and PhD in culinary culture. Prepare traditional dishes like “blue corn gnocchi arrowheads with guajillo chile sauce, seasonal greens with jalapeno dressing, lamb stuffed rellenos with tomato sauce, sweet frybread with seasonal berries, and prickly pear syrup” in this 3-hour immersive class.
Following your cooking class, head back to the hotel and enjoy time to relax and refresh. In the evening, enjoy small plates, drinks and live music at the world class Fenix Piano Bar.

Day 3
Begin the day with a visit to the historic Canyon Road Arts District where you’ll experience “art for mind and body” through and Art & Yoga Tour. Your guide will lead you through 2-3 galleries in the area and help facilitate meaningful discussion about the art on view. Afterward, enjoy a peaceful yoga session in a private gallery space. No prior yoga experience needed!
Following the tour, enjoy free time to explore the Canyon Road District before stopping for lunch at a local cafe.
Continue the journey to the country home and studio of Randall Davey, a renowned modernist painter who was drawn to the Santa Fe art scene in the 1920’s and never left. Tour the artist’s adobe studio, including his secret, Prohibition-era bar, and stroll through the beautiful sprawling property to see for yourself why the artist, and so many others, have fallen in love with Santa Fe.
Return to the hotel and enjoy leisure time in the afternoon to explore downtown or perhaps schedule a spa treatment at the hotel. Regroup for dinner at the hotel’s chic Luminaria restaurant.

Day 4
Enjoy the morning at leisure before venturing to the Santa Fe Railyard Arts District Sunday Market where you will have the opportunity to enjoy local art and music inside the Farmer’s Market Pavilion. Watch as local artists create paintings, pottery, jewelry, sculptures, and more. This is the perfect place to find a one-of-a-kind gift or souvenir to commemorate your travels.
Afterward, enjoy lunch at La Choza, a local favorite for Mexican cuisine that is quite famous for their sopapillas. Following lunch, continue the journey to Meow Wolf, and immersive experience which takes visitors on an interactive journey through a wacky series of artfully designed rooms - some which are reached through secret passages in fireplaces and refrigerators. This is certainly an out there experience, but one not to be missed in Santa Fe! - see featured video for more!
Return to downtown Santa Fe and enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure. In the evening, enjoy drinks and tapas at La Boca restaurant.

Day 5
Begin the day with a visit to the Georgia O’Keefe Museum to learn about one of Santa Fe’s most famous, albeit illusive artists. Visiting the Georgia O’Keefe Museum will set the foundation for the day as your next stop will be to artist’s secluded home and studio at Ghost Ranch located in nearby Abiquiú, New Mexico.
Once at the ranch, you’ll have the option to take a walking/bus tour or horseback ride through a restricted area of the property to view the real landscape behind some of the artist’s paintings and learn more about her life and work.
Return to Santa Fe in the late afternoon and take some time to refresh before enjoying a Farewell Dinner at Izanami, a fabulous Japanese restaurant situated on the beautiful Ten Thousand Waves Resort. Modeled after a traditional Japanese mountain hot spring, Ten Thousand Waves spa is a tranquil oasis. Enjoy a spa treatment or massage and spend the evening lounging in the outdoor hot tubs, cool plunge pools, and dry saunas. Return to the hotel for a good night’s rest after an evening of relaxation.

Day 6
Transfer to the airport for your flight home.

The Inn and Spa at Loretto is a humble Pueblo-style building which, in the 1970s, became the iconic representation of authentic Santa Fe style. Cancellation Policy
Cancel your trip 90 days or more prior to departure, and you will receive a full refund of any monies paid to the ATC. Cancel your trip between 89 - 60 days prior to departure, and you will receive a 50% refund. Cancel your trip between 59 - 30 days prior to departure and you will receive a 25% refund. Cancel your trip less than 30 days prior to departure, and you will receive no refund.
All cancellations must be sent via email to contact@astridtravel.com and are effective the date we receive this correspondence.
ATC reserves the right to cancel this trip for any reason. Such reasons include, but are not limited to, not achieving a minimum number of participants necessary to make the trip feasible, weather phenomena, and other unforeseen circumstances. In such event, you may choose to either receive a full refund, including the deposit, or apply your payments to another trip if approved by ATC.
Traveler Requirements
Travelers must have a passport that is valid for at least 6 months following the return travel date if traveling internationally.
Travelers are responsible for making their own flight arrangements.
Travelers must provide a copy of their desired flight reservation before booking to ensure that all information is correct.
Travel Insurance is Recommended
The ATC does not require travel insurance for domestic trips, however, it is strongly encouraged you purchase travel insurance. In the event that you are unable attend this trip due to an illness, family emergency, missed or canceled flight, act of terrorism, natural disaster, etc., Astrid Solo Travel Advisor, AstridTravel LLC, the AstridTravel Club LLC, nor any affiliated person or party will be held responsible for payment repatriation.
