Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Featuring: A Dude Ranch Experience
If there’s any place which has idealized the nostalgic quality of the American frontier, it’s Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Cradled by the Gros Ventre Mountain range to the east and the towering Teton Mountain range to the West, Jackson Hole is astonishingly picturesque. The town of Jackson and countryside “Dude ranches” serve as romanticized reminders of the bygone era of the Wild West and invite travelers to transport themselves into a simpler time. Reconnect to nature, float down the winding Snake River, ride horses past the snow-capped peaks of the Tetons, spot local wildlife like buffalo, moose, and elk, and let the magic of Jackson Hole refresh your spirit.

This rafting trip is suitable for beginners and features 8-10 sets of moderately-rated Class III rapids - each followed by stretches of calm and steady water. Certain sections of the river are up to 80 feet deep which makes the rapids here less challenging than ones found in shallower rivers. Your experienced guide will help you along the way and share information about the gorgeous scenery and local wildlife throughout the trip.
Return to Jackson Hole in the afternoon and enjoy leisure time to relax and refresh. Later, embark on an immersive Food Tour through downtown Jackson. Sample a variety of cuisine including local specialties like elk and buffalo from some of Wyoming’s best restaurants.
After the conclusion of the food tour, enjoy leisure time in the evening to relax or explore as you please. Later, regroup for drinks at the famous Million Dollar Cowboy Bar.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
Day 3
In the morning, check-out of the Wort Hotel and embark on a Wildlife Tour of Teton National Park. From the comfort of a safari-style vehicle, enjoy the opportunity to view wildlife like moose, elk, antelope, bison, bears, wolves, bald eagles, and trumpeter swans as they begin their morning routines.
After the conclusion of the tour, venture to Triangle X Ranch, your hideaway for the next 4 days. The only dude ranch within Grand Teton National Park, Triangle X offers guests unparalleled scenic views. Tour the property and get settled in your private cabin before meeting for dinner at the ranch. Enjoy the evening sipping coffee, tea, beer or wine by a bonfire and relaxing under a blanket of stars.

Have breakfast at the ranch and spend the morning at leisure. Then, meet the rest of your group for an introductory horseback riding lesson led by a Triangle X Wrangler. Upon the conclusion of the lesson, take a gentle ride through Grand Teton National Park and take in the unspoiled beauty of your surroundings.
Return to the ranch after your ride and spend the rest of the afternoon as you please - reading a book on your private porch, watching the horses, taking a nature stroll, and watching the sun set behind the magnificent mountain peaks of the Tetons.
Enjoy another family-style meal with the members of your group and other guests at the ranch. Spend the evening soaking in the peace and tranquility of this place.

Day 5
Enjoy breakfast at the ranch before departing for Yellowstone National Park. The first National Park in the United States, Yellowstone is an American icon. Known for its breathtaking beauty, geothermal activity, and abundance of wildlife, it is a treasure trove of natural wonder. At over 2 million acres, it’s impossible to see all of Yellowstone in one day, however, many of the most famous attractions including Ole Faithful Geyser, Grand Prismatic Spring, and the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone can be seen in one visit. Your AstridTravel Club Representative will escort you on a self-guided drive through the park, giving the group the freedom to decide when and where to stop for viewing opportunities.
After a full day in the park, return to Triangle X Ranch for dinner and another peaceful night under the stars.
Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 6
Day 7
Begin the day with an early morning wake-up call and set off on a sunrise float trip down the Snake River. Unlike the rafting excursion from earlier in the trip, this journey down the river is slow and laidback. An early morning start means that there’s a good chance you’ll spot local wildlife like otters, moose, bears, etc.
Return to the ranch and enjoy leisure time to relax and refresh. After lunchtime, embark on your final horseback ride through pristine Wyoming wilderness. Spend the rest of the afternoon taking in your final views of the snow-capped Teton mountain peaks before joining the group for a Farewell Dinner.
Conclude the evening with storytelling by the campfire and yet another night of stargazing. We guarantee this is something of which you will never grow tired.
